To issue digital passports in accordance with ICAO document 9303 and the East African Community Summit resolution, Kenya launched the e-Passport system in September 2017. You will need to apply for a new passport if you misplace your Kenyan one in order to travel.
Requirements for Replacement of a Lost Kenyan Passport
1.Police Abstract for loss of passport
2. An affidavit outlining the circumstances behind the passport’s theft
3. three passport-size photos in color
4. Passport application form properly completed, together with two payment receipts
5. Personal statement or letter describing passport loss
6. If available, a copy of the bio-data page from the missing passport
7. Adults should have their original identification and a duplicate of it.
