2-day Taita Hills safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Diani Beach. Enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque Kenyan countryside as you make your way to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, located near Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, check in at the charming Saltlick Safari Lodge and relax over a delicious buffet lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the private sanctuary. Keep your camera ready as you spot elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalos, zebras, impalas, and many other wildlife species in their natural habitat. The sanctuary is also home to a wide variety of birds, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. As the sun begins to set, you’ll head back to the Salt Lick Safari Lodge, one of Kenya’s most iconic safari lodges. Built on stilts and overlooking a busy waterhole, the lodge offers a truly unique and immersive wildlife experience.

Wake up early to the calls of the African bush and set out on a sunrise game drive, the perfect time to witness wildlife activity as the day begins. Predators are often spotted in the early hours, and the soft morning light provides excellent photo opportunities. After your drive, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Later in the morning, check out of Salt Lick Safari Lodge and begin your return journey. Enjoy one last game drive through the sanctuary as you exit, capturing any final glimpses of the animals.
